Dinner was almost ready, and I asked Jon to clear his things off the table. Several minutes later, I was very surprised to see it still untouched."Jon, are you going to do what I asked?" (It's rare that he ignores a request.)
His very casual answer:
"Yes, I'm going to. I'm just trying to get my binoculars off my foot."
(??!!)
